- Air Planner II (1-Year OCONUS Assignment)
Security Requirements. Able to be granted and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with a single Source Background Investigation (SSBI) and are also required to be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Nominee has been granted full SCI eligibility within the past 60 months and has not had a break in SCI access of more than 24 months during this period.
Travel Worldwide: The Candidate should be prepared for travel to locations worldwide. Travel to dangerous or hostile environments may meet eligibility for DBA, hazard, and post differential rate adjustments.
Mentally and Physically Fit: Candidate must be able to deploy and work in combat environments to include qualifying with small arms, undergoing medical training, taking defensive driving courses, and must be mentally sound and able to function in areas of extreme risks and danger.
Duties. Responsible for coordination of in country air movement requests for cargo and personnel. Coordinates air movement requests with commercial, contracted, and military airlift assets for fixed and rotary airlift. Coordinates with contracted logistical planners on location to ensure seamless movement of personnel and equipment to final destination. Manage personnel and cargo manifesting. Should have prior deployment experience performing mobility planning and air support operations. Must be well versed in the Defense Transportation Regulations (DFR) and be able to read the Single Mobility System (SMS), GDSS, and Helo CONOPS.
Requirements/Qualifications. Position can be filled by retired Army MAJ/LTC; MOS 88Z/88N or fixed/rotary wing aviator MOS 15 A/B; retired Army Chief Warrant Officer (CW3-4) MOS 15 with experience as a fixed/rotary wing aviator; former US Air Force NCO E-7 or above, 2T2 specialty with prior TOC experience; or former US Army NCO E-7 or above, MOS 88Z/N. Level II.
Level III Masters, or specialized degree and 20+ years of logistics experience or specialized training and 20+ years of military logistics/supply intelligence analysis experience or equivalent logistics/supply/academic experience. Credentialed subject matter expert or recognized specialist in relevant field. Preferred Life Cycle Logistics Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III. Substantial experience should include increasing responsibilities in both independent task management and data analysis and reporting in a logistics environment at the military senior leadership level, general officer level. Significant experience supporting federal Government clients and a working knowledge of maintenance logistics concepts as related t the Department of Defense. This level of expertise must possess exceptionally strong analytical skills.
