This is a very young F.E starting out on an H-3 airframe in Myrtle Beach, 1986. It only lasted a few months and Detachment 11 was closed. I moved to the Pavelow airframe in 1987 and spent four more years at the 21st SOS Woodbridge / Bentwaters. Looking through these names made me smile and consider the old times. I recognized quite a few names. My had is of those of you who still serve.

My son, Ssgt Jason Paul was the DCC on 369. He flew with it to Hill AFB. He showed me the pave cave this weekend. What a great record of the people and airframes. I'm an old fixed wing guy, but I really enjoyed the paves.

Heard about the Paves retirement along with some friends and other crew members that were lost. I'll miss them and the airframe. Miss the flying!! Take care all and good luck with all your adventures in life.

Hello everyone! Just stopping in to say hi and check out soem of the pictures. I served with the 352nd Maintenance Squadron, RAF Mildenhall from 2005-2007 as an engine troop.

I was a Crew Chief on 69-5796 at RAF Woodbridge from 89-91 and at Hurlburt Field from 91 - 93. I met a lot of great people in the Pave community and I still miss the 53.

I was Sheetmetal on 53's, 60's, and I know they aren't Paves but also 3's. Loved working on them. The other people I worked with, sweated with, and left blood and skin on them with are the best people in the world.

:-) I worked on these fine flying machines off and on during my 24 years of serivce in the Air force

I worked on those beautiful birds from 1971 to 2004 in various capacities. Crew Chief, contractor, engineer.

I was a crew chief on 69-5794 with the 41ST ARRS at McClellanAFB from May 1976 to December 1979. Good times on that bird, still miss it after all these years.

The reunion was awesome! Geno, Vinnie, Sean - you guys put together one great get together.

Shout out to Tim Bischoff, Darrel Board, Barry Terrell, Bill Campbell, and Chaos!

I got my finger on the "fire" button for the shuttle, if you're at Patrick give me a shout.

Thanks for sending me an old friend to take care of in my retirement years. I
received acft 369 on Sep 18, 2008 and was granted the privledge of shutting her down 1 last time.I and SSgt Paul, SSgt Durbin, and SRA Bale managed in spite of dificulties managed to secure her and get her to the Hill AFB museum where I was able to convince the executive director that PAVE needed a prominant place. I will e-mail her picture to anyone wanting. I am also interested in any stories or history of 369.

To the pavelow families! I worked on pave-lows for the last six years and I wanted to thank all the pave guys crew and mechanic's for the best six years of my life as a aircraft mechanic. I work in Huntsville now as a civilian on H-60 Blackhawks, and its just not the same. But once again I thank you all, as the pave low heads towards retirement I am saddened but however it was some of the best years of my life. Thank you!!

Assigned to RAF Woodbridge 667 SOMS 88-91 as an Avionic Sensors. Cut-trained as Com/Nav and 53 crew chief in 90.(having 3 skills was the best way to ensure I would go on every TDY!!!!) That was the best assignment with a great group of guys I had in my 21 years in the Air Force.

I was assigned to the 20th SOS Life Support in April 1985, transferred from the 1st SOW. I was there for 9 years, I saw the end of the UH-1N and the beginning of the HH-53H thru the MH-53J/M Pavelow. I got out of the military in June 1994, but I've always thought I should have stayed in. I'm honored to have been a part of the legacy of the 20th SOS.

Second Crew Chief on 68-10356 when it was new. ARRTC Eglin AFB '68-'72. Like a fool left the AF and have regreted it ever since. Like me 356 is now retired but I'm still "in service". Would like to connect with other ARRTC troops from the 70's and I'm still a rotor head.

Got off active duty in '97 had a brain fart and joined the Ohio army guard as a crew chief on AH-1, UH-1H and finally finished out my career (Sept. 07)as a crew chief/door gunner on Blackhawks.

Sad to see the Pavelow retiring. Of all the years I spent in the military the years I spent on the Pavelow were the most memorable. Especially the year I spent in Osan. WHAT A BLAST!! (If you remember Osan you weren't there!) After all these years Osan still makes my head hurt! Must have been the "OB" Beer and soju.

Hope to see some of the Mechs from the 80's and early 90's at Hurlburt in Oct. I was a Engine Spec in the 20th SOS from Dec 86 to Jul 93. Hope everyone is doing well.
